The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry aims to prepare distinguished cadres at the local, regional and international levels and provide the community with highly qualified pharmacists in the field of drug manufacturing and analysis.
Familiarize students with the pharmaceutical substances found in the pharmaceutical market in terms of the chemical formula and the method of preparing raw materials and identifying their purification and how to prepare new pharmaceutical compounds. The course teaches students how to use modern measuring devices to identify the drug substance individually or in its pharmaceutical preparations and utilize the metabolites of drug substances to prepare highly effective and low-toxicity alternatives. Students are also trained to conduct research on therapeutic substances.
