Under the patronage of Prof. Khaled El-Derndly, President of Zagazig University, Prof. Helal Afifi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and with the patronage and presence of Prof. Hanan El-Nahas, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Pharmacy celebrated on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the graduation of the second cohort of students of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program (Pharm D) – Clinical Pharmacy. The celebration reflected the university’s commitment to preparing qualified pharmacy professionals in accordance with the latest academic and professional standards.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Shaimaa El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Prof. Heba El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Assistant Professor Yasmin Sharaf, Coordinator of the Clinical Pharmacy Program; Dr. Essam Abu El-Fotouh, Head of the Sharqia Pharmacists Syndicate; as well as Prof. Mohamed Baraka, former Dean of the Faculty, the heads of the scientific departments, faculty members and their supporting staff, administrative staff, and the families of the graduates.
In her speech, Prof. Hanan El-Nahas, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized that Zagazig University places great importance on developing its academic programs in line with the requirements of the labor market. She noted that the graduation of a new cohort from the Clinical Pharmacy Program reflects the university’s success in preparing professionals who possess scientific and practical competencies as well as professional values, enabling them to contribute to the advancement of the healthcare system and serve the community. She wished the graduates continued success and fulfillment throughout their professional careers.
For her part, Prof. Shaimaa El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, expressed her pleasure at celebrating the graduation of the second cohort of the Pharm D Clinical Pharmacy Program. She emphasized that the program is one of the faculty’s distinguished programs and keeps pace with the latest global trends in pharmaceutical education, contributing to the preparation of pharmacists equipped with the clinical skills and practical experience necessary to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care. She added that the faculty continues to develop its educational and research programs, strengthening the standing of its graduates and enhancing their ability to compete in the local, regional, and international labor markets.
The ceremony also featured the graduates’ administration of the Oath of the Pharmacy Profession, which was administered by Dr. Essam Abu El-Fotouh, Head of the Sharqia Pharmacists Syndicate. He emphasized the importance of adhering to professional ethics, upholding the humanitarian mission of the pharmacy profession, and striving to provide the highest standards of pharmaceutical care to patients.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the graduates and the taking of commemorative photographs in an atmosphere of pride and joy, celebrating the fruits of years of hard work and dedication and reaffirming Zagazig University’s mission of preparing scientifically and professionally qualified generations capable of supporting the healthcare system and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
